The Moisture Absorbent Box, also known as a 'quilt box,' is an essential tool for winter beekeeping. This box has a 0.5" shim beneath the mesh screen to allow space for that winter fondant that you place right on top of your frames. Above the screen, you can add any moisture-absorbing material, like wood chips, to help manage excess moisture inside the hive during the cold and damp winter months!
