2026 Nucleus Colony

We've decided to sell a limited number of nucleus colonies, only 8 deep nucs available this season! 

What: We are selling 4 frame deep nucleus colonies or 5 frame medium nucleus colonies. The frames will be made up of: lots of bees, a proven queen, brood of all ages, food stores and space to lay.

When: May 14th (possibly a week earlier).

Price: $360 per nuc. Each nucleus colony comes in a ventilated nuc box, securely sealed for safe and easy transport back to your apiary. These boxes are also a great tool to keep on hand for swarm catching later in the season.

Equipment: Whether you’re new to beekeeping or expanding your apiary, it’s important to have your equipment fully set up and ready before bringing your nuc home. We are fully stocked for the season—browse supplies here: https://homegrownbee.ca/collections

Additional Notes:

• All nucs are inspected by a certified apiary inspector prior to sale. This ensures colonies are free of disease and meet acceptable mite thresholds before a permit to sell is issued.
• All sales are final and non-refundable.
• Please plan to inspect your nuc shortly after installation. If you are unable to locate the queen within one week of pickup, you must notify us within that timeframe. After one week, colony performance and queen status are the responsibility of the beekeeper.
