The drone frame is a wonderful tool for ‘integrative pest management.’ The plastic frame has inset hexagons the size of drone cells to encourage the colony to use this particular frame for their drone production. Once the drone cells are all capped, remove the frame from the hive. By removing the frame, you are hoping to remove a large portion of the mite population!
