Mite Check 101- July 27th (10:30-12pm)

Join us for an informative 1.5 hour workshop where we will cover:

• The varroa mite: What it is and why it's a concern.
• Identifying signs of mite infestation.
• How to test for mites using sugar shake and alcohol wash methods.
• Timing treatments: Understanding when to treat and choosing the right treatment for your hive.
• An overview of key diseases and pests that every beekeeper should be aware of.

Bring your questions- we will have time towards the end and throughout the workshop for Q&A's! Plus you will receive a hand out after the workshop outlining the main topics of the session.

When: July 27th 10:30-12pm (we'll try to beat the July heat!)

• Protective Gear (veil, beekeeping jackets/suits, gloves)
