Queen Mandibular Pheromone (QMP) is an important pheromone released by the queen for a variety of reasons, one being, to ensure the colony that a healthy and viable queen is present. The 'Temp Queen Pheromone' is composed of synthetic QMP in a small PVC tube that is placed in between the frames of your hive body. The PVC tube releases the synthetic QMP slowly overtime to simulate the presence of a queen.
The 'Temp Queen Pheromone' can be used in a variety of beekeeping management practices, for instance, to temporarily replace the scent of a queen in a queen less colony for a short period of time.
