Mason Bee- Nesting Tubes, Liners or a Combination

Mason Bee nesting materials are sold in bundles of 10! Choose between:

• 10 Cardboard Tubes
• 10 Inner Liners
• 10 Cardboard Tubes and 10 Inner Liners (our combination shown in this photo!) 

Mason bee nesting materials explained:

Tubes: The cardboard tubes act as protectors for the inner liner. The notorious parasitic wasp affecting mason bees, chalcid wasp, cannot penetrate the cardboard exterior to pierce through and oviposit an egg in the developing mason bee cocoon. The tubes are 5 3/4 inches long with a 5/16th ( 8mm) hole and have a  0.040 inch thick. Reusable if tube is used with a removable liner.

Liners: The liners are 0.010 thick inserts that you add to cardboard tubes. The liners are removed at the end of each season and unravelled to harvest nesting cocoons. Replace liners each year after harvesting cocoons!
